While the production quality of these clips (not the show itself) is not terrific, the stories themselves are compelling and definitely haunting. This compilation is based on a popular British ghost story television program, and the combination of personal accounts by haunted victims and scary dramatizations makes for a spine tingling experience! Ghost Video SYNOPSIS:
The run time for this 5 part YouTube video series is 36:53 (Part 1: 8:39, Part 2: 8:08, Part 3: 8:15, Part 4: 9:34, Part 5: 10:17). The video is a chopped up version of, what seems to be a full episode of a popular haunted Britain TV series. In essence, you are watching the show on YouTube, but in lesser visual quality that if you watched it on TV. The episode is comprised of several british ghost stories - each taking place in various parts of Britain from haunted houses to seaside hauntings. The format of each haunted story include first hand accounts by the witnesses (or victims, depending on your point of view) of the hauntings, and dramatized re-enactments of the actual haunted events. All in all, the entertainment factor is very good.
Ghost Video QUALITY:
By contemporary YouTube standards, the video quality of this clip series is poor, but the spooky nature of the content certainly makes up for the low resolutions frames. If you live outside of the UK, this may be one of your only ways to catch this ghost story TV series. The sound quality is very good - enough to creep you out on a regular basis throughout the presentation.
Ghost Video DETAILS:
BRITISH GHOST STORY #1 -- The first ghost story takes place on the most westerly part of Britain, well known for it's bleakness and scatterings of ancient pagan relics. The dark arts and black magic rituals are part of the folklore in this part of Britain. Sally Ormandy and Jack Ormandy decribe their terrifying experiences during a visit to a friend. At the end of the day, when the kids were in bed, the hauntings began. Two women were watching television in the living room when they heard strange banging upstairs where the kids were sleeping. Sally went up to check out the scary sounds, but did not find anything out of the normal. When she returned downstairs, the strange banging started up again and this time the women were scared. They decided to go upstairs to stay together with the kids so they would feel safer. There was strange tension in the air as the frightened women tried to conceal their fear from the children. The creepy sounds continued until one of the women felt a sharp scratch against her face. She sat up and her son noticed a red mark down the side of her face. Whatever ever haunting was occurring, now it had manifested in reality. Everyone was terrified and they decided to retreat downstairs to be together in one room. They camped out the rest of the night downstairs, but there was not much sleeping done on the part of the adults. They were puzzled and afraid from what had happened. The next day, the women discovered from accounts by locals, that black magic had been practiced in that area. There were stories of devil worship and other scary rituals which occurred near the house were the women were staying. The mothers consulted a local Vicar for help, and they were surprised by how seriously the Vicar took their haunted account. A blessing was performed in the house on the next night, but rather than help subdue the spiritual activities, things got even worse. After the Vicar had left, the women heard strange sounds outside the house. It was dark and creepy outside. The banging got louder and turned into crashing sounds. It was as though someone was trying to get into the house. The house was shaking for so long that the terrified occupants could not imagine a human could endure such a prolongued bashing. The banging was occuring upstairs as well, and one of the women went up to check on the strange sounds. She felt an evil presence in the dark room and felt threatened. She began to recite the Lord's prayer out of fear and as she prayed her feelings of being threatened by an unknown spiritual entity escalated. Noone slept that night, but leaving the haunted house was not an option as they were in the middle of the Moores. The next morning, the women decided to leave the house and started packing up their belongings. One of the women went upstairs to close a window before leaving, but she had noticed that a cross, left by the Vicar during his blessing had disappeared. She searched frantically for the missing cross and the room became cold. She was scared. She ran, terrified, down the stairs, and everyone left the house, slamming the door shut behind them. They drove off, vowing to never enter that haunted house again.
BRITISH GHOST STORY #2 -- Fobbing, Essex, is the location for this ghost story. The Williamsons explain how a happy life in rural Essex turned ghastly after 7 years of happy country living. When Chris Williamson turned 17, something happened which changed their lives forever. Suddenly their happy home became a haunted nightmare. It seemed that the house had taken on a new haunted personality. Rooms would go cold instantly, and doors would open and close on their own. Chris tried to put off the weird occurances, as just hos own gowing through a change in life, but when the paranormal experiences continued, both he, and Linda, were concerned and mystified. Bangings and crashings were just some of the many ongoing unexplained events in their house. When the TV and microwave oven started turning on and off by themselves, Chris was scared and ran teary eyed to Linda. He felt as though a jinx had been mysteriously placed against him. There did not seem to be any other reasonable explanation for the strange ongoing events. This haunted activity increased on a daily basis, focusing on Chris as the haunted victim. Chris felt trapped, unable to stop any horrible from happening. He became scared to doing anything in the house. Even his girlfriend, Chloe Jenkins started to feel the strange presence and witness the paranormal activities. Without any prior introduction by Chris, Chloe noticed that the upstairs of the house had a weird paranormal atmosphere. She felt a strange energy which seemed like someone invisible was there. Chris could tell that Chloe was afraid in the house. Chris did not tell her about his own scary experiences in the house, but she saw a ghostly apparition in the bathroom mirror, she knew that the house was inhabited by someone from the spirit world. Seeing the face of a spirit flash in the mirror terrified her. When she turned back to see if anyone was staning behind her, there was noone there. When Chris finally shared his own paranormal experiences with Chloe, it all made sense to her. Chloe and Chris were certain there was a ghostly presence in the house. Linda, remained secretive about these experiences to not frighten her 5 year old son, Ryan. For the longest time, Ryan was unaware of any spirit activity, until he has his own ghost encounter. A man appeared before Ryan, looking real as life. Ryan thought the ghost was a real man. It was not until Linda had her own terrifying experience that all doubt was eliminated. One night, as she was sleeping in bed, she felt she was about to die. Over time, the ghostly experiences subsided, but as Ryan approaches the age when Chris started experiencing the strange phenomena, the quieted ghost was raise up again.
BRITISH GHOST STORY #3 -- Lands End is a coastal region of Britain littered with wrecks and lost souls of many centuries. The shores have been home to many bodies washed up from deadly encounters. The First and Last Inn is the focul point of this British ghost story. Since 1620, the inn has haboured many experiences. Laura was casually warned by neighbours that the place was haunted, but that did not disuade her from working at the inn. After 3 weeks, something confirmed her suspicions that something supernatural was definitely going on. She was doing her laundry one day when she saw a ghostly apparition of a lady at the door. She could not believe wat she saw. While this was the only time Linda saw the ghostly appearance, she felt the haunting presence of the spirit lady all the time. Brian Wood also recounts his own personal supernatural experiences which confirm that others have witnessed this haunting over the years as well. Previous tenants of the inn had reported even more sinister ghost experiences. Neil and Lyn Forster, prior tenants of the inn, explain their horrible experiences with the ghost lady. At first they felt like home, but they found one room which felt uncomfortable. Despite their strange suspicions, they moved into the awkward feeling room. After three nights, Lyn experienced a terrifying experience while she was in bed sleeping. As she lay in bed, she saw a ghostly apparition and her arms and legs seemed reatrained apart at her sides. She felt like her ankles and wrists were strapped down, even though she could not see and ropes or bindings. Helpless, and unable to move, Lynn was freezing and felt that she was pinned on a beach with waves splashing up against her and slowly creeping forward to drown her. A ghost woman stood watching over Lyn's drowing struggling body, waiting for her to die. Neil came into the room and turned on the lights. The haunting stopped. Lyn was convinced that she was about to drown. That was the last night Lun and Neil slep in that haunted bedroom again. They later learned from locals that a prior owner of the pub, Annie George, was involved with a gang of smugglers in the early eighteen hundreds. A falling out between Anne and her partner resulted in her being tied to stakes and drowned by locals. This was kept a horrible town secret, and from the reocurring hauntings at the inn, it seems that Anne's murder by drowing left her spirit lurking in the inn. Her drowned body was returned to the inn and she was layed out to rest in the very bedroom where the hauntings occur. Later, she was buried in a secret grave somewhere in the area. Her unmarked grave is a final resting place after her horrific death by the local townsfolk. Many believe that her not having a proper burial is why she continues to haunt the inn today. Her room is too frightening for anyone else to occupy.
BRITISH GHOST STORY #4 -- This scary ghost story takes place in a South London former Edwardian printworks factory, where generations of workers have been housed. Over the years, workers have relocated from the building and haunted occurances have become more noticeable. Lyn had worked in the building for 20 years before she experienced her first supernatural incident. One evening, while working late, she sensed something which she could not see. It did not feel right. When she went to the bathroom, on her way, she saw a tall blonde woman walking down the stairs in front of her. She did not know the lady, but she had a strange feeling about her. Lyn could not seem to catch up to the woman ahead of her. The eerie woman was dressed as though she was from the 30s or 40s. When Lynn followed the strange woman into the bathroom there was noone there. Lyn was all alone in the bathroom and all the stalls were open. When Lyn came out of the bathroom stall, all the taps were suddenly running. It seemed humanly impossible for someone to have turned on all the taps at once. Other workers have reported unusual activities in the building. The basement, formerly used as an air raid shelter, had experienced many deaths during the World War. Dead souls are claimed to walk the basement. The maintenance engineer, Matthew Causton, experienced strange events on his first day of work. A sense of anxiousness seemed to fill the corridors of the basement. Mat found the experience scary and he felt something was there. He tried to do his job by the spirits were distracting. His flashlight started to fade out, leaving him in darkness. He noticed a strange apparition in front of him and ran from the basement terrified. This confimed the ghostly presence he had always suspected. The workers continue working in the building with repeated ghost sightings.
BRITISH GHOST STORY #5 -- The final ghost story in this British compilation takes place in a 500 year old building in Cornwall. The land in this region has many underground tunnels from tin mining days gone by. Jonathan, lived for six years in his manor before anything strange happened. When he started rennovating the manor, peculiar things started to happen. When Elizabeth cae to visit with her son and a friend, when they heard a door rattling in the bedroom at night time. They felt that they were not alone in the room. Someone or something was there with them. The boys were too scared to sleep in the house, so they tried to sleep in the car. Before long, they felt something was out there in the dark. Suddenly, a cloaked figure appeared outside of the car. The boys honked the horn from fear and Elizabeth came running out to see what had happened. The boys were terrified - too afraid to even look up and outside. This seemed to be just the beginning of the ghostly experiences. Peculiar burning smells were noticed often during night time. Voices could be heard. When Trevor Kenward, from the British Ghost Club Society, was called in to investigate, a team came to investigate. Various tests were done in the manor yielding strange occurances like rattling candelabras, and rising tables. It did not seem possible for anyone to have raised the table. A massive ghostly force was suspected. Later in the evening, the team moved into the darkened lounge. As they waited with anticipation, the fireplce transformed into a deep mine shaft. A dark form materialized in the mine shaft, visible to the team. It looked like the ghost of a miner. A mining link was established. In 1858 a mojor mining disaster ocurred involving an explosion leading to the drowining deaths of 7, yet to be recovered, minors. It is believed that the spirits of the dead minors are haunting the manor today.

Unlike ghost photos and live ghost videos which are often at the centre of scrutiny and dispute, real life accounts like those in this series, can often be more stirring and horrifying - particularly, when more than one witness shares their story about a similar or related event. Add to genuinely spooky stories, profession re-enactments and sound effects, and you have the makings of a truly scary ride. This compilation is fun to watch and leaves the viewer with a plethora or paranormal questions.
